Car sharing offers a solution to one of Jersey’s biggest environmental issues, by reducing the number of greenhouse gas emissions caused by peak time travel and traffic congestion. Our aim is to reduce this congestion by encouraging people to share their car journey to work rather than commute alone. The morning commute equates to approximately 30,000 vehicles on the road, 21,000 of which have only 1 person onboard.

Triskel Ride is a carsharing App tailormade for the island of Jersey, created, developped and designed by Jersey people for Jersey people. We are offering to connect people looking for rides with people offering rides. Travelling greener by sharing vehicles will reduce traffic congestion especially at peak times and reduce greenhouse gases emissions. This is a sustainable way of travelling across the island while saving petrol and parking money. Why use several cars when you can travel in only one ?

Carsharing with Triskel Ride is for anyone over the ages of 18. You can "Offer a ride", "Find a ride" or "Request a ride".
Offer a ride : You have a car and are looking for people to share a journey with you ?
Find a ride : You are looking for an existing advert placed by someone with a vehicle ?
Request a ride : You have not yet found a ride corresponding to what you are looking for, you can request the trip yourself !
Ride share schemes are legal when operated correctly. Ride sharing is driver-led and works by connecting people travelling a single journey in the same direction so they can travel together and share the cost of the journey. Drivers are covered on their standard insurance as long as they do not make a profit. Car share schemes use a capped fee structure to ensure that their users are insured. Carsharing became available again on 08/08/2020 when Jersey moved into Level 1 of the Safe Exit Framework.
Car share operators in the UK use the Approved Mileage Payment Allowance (HMRC) as a guide to calculate the acceptable cost of a journey. In the UK the figure is £0.40 per mile. In Jersey this is known as the Flat Rate Mileage allowance (gov.je). That figure is £0.60 per mile. This is a total amount and not per person.

Please note that from the web page you will not be able to book the rides. Downloading the mobile App will allow you to get full access to our services
When at the identification stage, just press "forgotten password". An email will be sent to the address you subscribed with. You can then change your password
Once you have created an account, you can start using the Triskel Ride App. Click "Offer ride" on your dashboard and follow instructions.
Go to the Dashboard then click "All rides/Find here" to view all available rides or to search the ride you are looking for.
Yes, you can. If you have to cancel, please do so as early as possible. Our cancellation policy is available in the Terms & Conditions.

In your "Profile", choose "Eco".
As a Driver (Offered ride revenue contribution) you can choose to donate a percentage of the Cost Contribution to your chosen local Eco project. For example the Cost contribution is of £1.00, you will recoupe 80p and donate 20p to your chosen local Eco project.
As a Passenger (Ride payment contribution) you can choose to donate an additional percentage of the Cost Contribution to your chosen local Eco Project.
For example, your Cost Contribution to the driver is £1.00 and you wish to donate an additional 20p to your chosen Eco project. Set the percentage bar at 20%. You will be debited £1.20. £1.00 goes to the driver for the ride and 20p or 20 eco points get credited towards your chosen local Eco project. Women who wish to travel exclusively with other women, can do so by choosing the “Ladies only” option. The App will then only show the user the rides offered and requested by female drivers and female passengers
Click YOTI verify in your profile to import your credentials from your YOTI secure ID. This option guarantees that you are a genuine driver or passenger ensuring no fake profiles. We are fully aware of the ongoing pandemic and concerns Members have with regards to the risks of contamination. We understand that the current climate is not ideal to promote a car sharing App however, we also believe that if hygiene measures are followed and guidelines are respected, users may feel safer in a private vehicle than perhaps they may on public transport. As a passenger you can pay with Paypal, as well as by debit / credit card.
All payments are processed via the App before the journey. Payments are made when driver and passenger have confirmed the booking.
As a driver you get paid via Paypal. Driver payments are credited to their Paypal account on the 15th and 28th of the month or nearest business day.
